Nvidia Advances Quantum Computing with NVQLink as Stock Surges
Nvidia has unveiled NVQLink, a groundbreaking system that bridges quantum processors with GPU-based supercomputers, at its Global Technology Conference. The platform, developed in collaboration with U.S. national labs and over 20 quantum hardware firms, enables real-time data transfer between classical and quantum systems—addressing critical error-correction challenges in quantum research.
CEO Jensen Huang disclosed $500 billion in pre-orders for Blackwell and Rubin chips, propelling Nvidia's valuation toward $5 trillion. Shares rallied 4.98% to $201.03 following the announcement. The open-architecture NVQLink will integrate with CUDA-Q software, allowing developers to build hybrid GPU-quantum applications across industries.
